Let It Fade

The painful and sorrowful times,

Do our minds tend to delete ‘em?

You know, as they say, “Time heals everything!”

If you let it, yeah, you’ll heal.

The memory resides but the pain fades.

But only if you let it.

And only if you let it and if you’re fortunate,

The past wouldn’t seem so bad

Because only the scar of it resides and the pain has faded.

If you’re fortunate, then your today will seem more boring than your past

Even though it has been the same all along

With all the ups and downs,

But with more of the ups from the past and the downs of today.

That is why, the past seems so sweet.

Though your today may even be sweeter.
